New condensate pipe for central heating systems:
We are now supplying manufacturers with a new condensate pipe (replacing the old type) which connects between the boiler and the condensate waste pipe. As pictured to the right the pipe is made from one piece of rubber with a 21.5mm plastic pipe that pushes directly into the boiler to create the connection between the condensate trap and the waste pipe.
This new design has removed the need for the rubber bung reducer and the elbows to achieve the offset position. The pipe is made from a rubber composite material which provides flexibility whilst installing and connecting to the boiler.
New employee to drive larger delivery lorry:
We are proud to announce that Jason Clarkson has joined the Morco team to deliver central heating systems to our manufacturing customers in the Hull region. Our larger lorry (26 ton) now enables us to deliver much larger quantities of kits to the manufacturers to meet their production demand!
Jason brings with him a large amount of driving experience from previous roles. We wish him luck with his new role!
GB24 boiler fault code L2 fact sheet to help engineers and end users:
A new factsheet is available on our website in the trouble shooting section which describes the common causes for the boiler to lock out and display fault code L2.
Research has found that the boiler is not always at fault and the following external factors can cause this;
1. Air inside the gas pipe after changing gas cylinders
2. Gas stenching agent blocking pipe work to the boiler
3. Blocked condensate trap due to lack of servicing
The three listed external factors above which can cause this lock out can be identified by carrying out the necessary tests and observations described in the fact sheet. This is an excellent source of information which we highly recommend you to read because it can save a great deal of time and frustration trying to identify what is causing a problem. Air being trapped inside the gas feed pipe to the boiler represents a high percentage of this lock out after an end user has changed the gas cylinder.
Gentle reminder for engineers to use the DIRECT technical help line number:
Please remember that we have a technical help line number. This is 01482 386586. Dialling this number will phone either Sam, Chris or David direct without having to be transferred via the customer service team. It will save you time!
